I used my last paper towel a few months back and decided to leave my cast iron paper towel holder naked with the thought that I would *someday I would find an eco-friendlier replacement.  That was months ago, and instead of investing in the fantastic E-cloth I read about on Thistle’s page, I just continued to use the remaining sponges, napkins, and dish towels I have hanging about the apartment, while my beautiful paper towel holder collected dust in the cupboard.

Until today, that is.  When I tossed the cast iron beauty into the Goodwill bag and decided to ban paper towels for good.

Maybe it is the fast approach of the final month of summer that is giving me this boost of motivated energy, but I am in the mood to get things done.  One of those things that I so desperately want to get done is a head to toe house scrub down.

I spent last week organizing and rearranging various rooms in my lovely home, but there is a pretty thick layer of dust on the lamp shades and a gross film lining my shower walls that needs to go away.

So I did a little research, and after (unfortunately) not finding any local stores advertising the sale of the wonder E-cloth online, I bit the bullet and ordered from their home store

These eco-friendly beauties should be arriving on my doorstep in the very near future!

With the anticipated arrival of these magical cleaning cloths, I have a promise to make:

I pledge to bring no more paper products (other than recycled toilet paper) into my greener than before home.  That means no more paper towels, tissues, napkins, swiffer products, or antibacterial wipes of any kind.

These E-cloths will replace the need for disposable cleaning products and the harsh chemicals that are generally used with them.

So friends, there you have it… Another step closer to my paperless self ;)
